This year we are putting on a 5K! We are so excited that we decided to join it with a Padres Baseball Game as well (which will start off with a tailgate party). So, save the date and plan on joining us for the 5K race, the baseball game, or even better…BOTH!
It may seem a bit early for spring to be here…but for all of us at Amor, it begins today! Over the next two weeks, we have a lot of groups coming to serve with Amor! We are so pumped! Let us show you why…

6 Team Members – Working with EMI to plan our next steps in developing our Cancun location (learn more about that here)

That leaves just 8 Team Members at the offices (Global Headquarters as we like to call it) in San Diego!
Like we said, we are stoked to get busy building a lot of homes!!! Can’t wait for the rest of spring…and summer!
At the beginning of each year, all of the Amor Team Members receive a small card that states the previous years’ stats and the collective stats since Amor began (1980). This is to help us remember how many participants Amor has had serve with us, how many houses we have build since 1980, and other such details. Today, we all received our official Stat Card…so, we thought we would share!

PROJECT BARNABAS
Project Barnabas is our spring volunteer program for individuals 18 and over. Come for a week or longer and serve a group that has come to build a home in Tecate, Mexico.

2011 is here and we are so excited! Not just because that is what we are supposed to say…we really are excited to see what God will do in and through Amor, our Mission Trip Participants and their churches, the families we serve, and the Ministry Planning Board Members (our Pastors)!
As we head into the new year, we hold fast to the theme God placed on our hearts from Joshua 1:6-9 — Be strong and courageous!
Joshua 1:6-9 reads:
6 “Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. 7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. 2011 was an incredible year of celebration! We are thankful for Amor’s 30 years in the Ministry. Plus, we had about 10,900 Mission Trip Participants through 362 individually planned Amor Mission Trips in 2011! We look forward with dreams to send and equip individuals for God’s work. In 2011, Amor is offering some new types of mission trips…
And of course, we have our usual Amor Mission Trips for groups and individuals! Join us this year. We wouldn’t want to do this without you!
