One of my favorite shirts/themes that we produced was the "Be Angry" Shirt. Because it stirred my heart and really touched on the idea we should be angry, not frustrated at the state of this world and our place in it. The idea that we should be angry about our blindness and deafness and more importantly dumbness toward the poor and naked and abused and the lost. Thank you for the reminder, Gayla.

Terrific! God at work in His beautiful Creation for his wonderful children through the hands of the compassionate. The Tijuana area and its hills can look so spectacular, especially in wetter years like this one. People poor in material goods but rich in the surroundings that God has provided them. Praise be to all who serve God's children and God's Creation!

In late March, I helped build an Amor house for Jaime and Maria Chavez Escobar in the Maclovio Rojas community. They said they had a daughter who was studying at a seminary in Mexicali. Two days after we completed the build, the earthquake hit. I did not get back to see Jaime and Maria. I'm wondering how their daughter and the seminary fared, but I don't have names for her or the seminary. Can anyone provide info or clues?

I have also been to Puerto Panasco the past 2 years. I remember the blowing sand one year and the beautiful weather the next. I remember the cold from one year and the late night fog temporarily covering the multitude of bright stars out in the desert the next year. I remember the grateful family from the first year helping us build the next house the next year. I remember the tears and the laughter. Crying at the conditions and crying to see the happy children who knew no different and crying when it was time to leave our new found friends in Puerto Penasco. Laughter as we shared meals at the work site with our family and laughter as little baby feet left tiny impressions in the wet concrete and laughter as we watched young men roll in the dusty street playing soccer with our family and their friends.

I cannot wait for this year's trip.

My desk at work has pictures to remind me of the experience of helping others and sharing the love of Jesus. Jesus said that whatever we do for the less fortunate we have done it for Jesus.
