The San Carlos House

The San Carlos house is different than any other house you have experienced building with Amor in Mexico. The house is stucco and foam inside and out with a concrete & foam roof as well. This structure is a tank and offers two great features to the Apache people:

  1. This house is fireproof. House fires occur all the time on the reservation and families that receive these homes will have peace of mind that there family and belongings will be safe.
  2. Instant insulation. The reservation experiences both extremes in weather. It can get very cold, below freezing, in the winter and very hot, above 100 degrees, in the summer. Having a house as insulated as these are will keep the families warm in the winter and cool in the summer while saving them hundreds of dollars in energy costs.

This house is so appropriate for the environment. Come and be apart of bringing this cutting edge technology to people in need. Poeple in your own backyard! The Amor 3 day is August 3-5 and will give you a chance to experience the house build as well as the reservation itself. Come experience San Carlos. Register here.
